Lynnette Nogueras-Trummer is a department attorney in the Commercial Litigation group. She represents businesses in numerous industries, from banking to railroads, in litigation before state and federal courts.
I focus on commercial contract disputes, railroad litigation and employment discrimination actions. I also assist counsel Laurie Styka Bloom in representing wind energy and cellular phone companies in New York Article 78 actions challenging government board and agency actions.
I get involved when business relationships sour. Issues I have dealt with extensively include Uniform Commercial Code and trade secret protection. I worked closely with partner Susan Roney to enforce a guarantee and achieved a $20 million verdict for our bank client.
I assist railroads in personal injury actions brought by employees under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) or by the public. My experience includes crossing accidents and occupational injuries.
I have defended various industries, including pharmaceuticals, media companies and railroads against discrimination claims brought by their employees. My experience includes actions under Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, Section 1981 and New York Human Rights Law. I have achieved early resolution and disposition of these matters before the courts as well as before state and federal agencies. I am also involved in other labor and employment actions, including collective action under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
I am looking at the developments in electronic discovery, including predictive coding.
