Amy Plowman is the practice group administrator for Nixon Peabody’s Affordable Housing practice group.
My focus is on support for the Affordable Housing practice, both in New York City and nationally. I work with our clients to prepare regulatory submissions and coordinate with city, state and federal agencies to obtain the necessary approvals for affordable housing transactions and assist the group with due diligence and other aspects of affordable housing transactions. I work on a variety of HUD matters including Section 8, Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), including both Component 1 for public housing and Component 2 for private ownership, mortgage loan prepayments and Section 236 IRP decouplings. I also act as a liaison between the group and various nonprofits and other trade organizations and coordinate the group’s sponsorships and participation in conferences and other industry events.
I look forward to working with our clients on transactions to both develop and preserve affordable housing.
