Madeleine Schnittker is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Global Finance group. She represents domestic and international banks and other financial institutions in a wide range of secured lending and other structured lending transactions. She also represents borrowers in a number of financing arrangements across industries.
I counsel a variety of financial institutions in structuring, negotiating, and documenting commercial finance transactions. These transactions include senior and subordinate credit facilities, acquisition financings, and asset-backed and other structured financings.
Before joining Nixon Peabody, I worked in the corporate group of a large law firm headquartered in Chicago. While there, I focused on leveraged finance transactions. I also worked with private equity and investment fund clients on a number of acquisitions and dispositions.
As alternative funding sources become increasingly available and interest rates remain relatively low, I expect to see an increase in acquisition activity and a continued demand for credit facilities.
