Paul Schrier is a senior transactional partner and former office managing partner of Nixon Peabody LLP’s San Francisco Office. As the consummate “deal lawyer,” Paul advises clients on significant transactions spanning a diverse array of industries.
I do deals. These deals can be corporate mergers, including cross-border transactions; secured lending and other asset-based financings and sophisticated loan workouts; real estate acquisitions and dispositions of commercial, retail, industrial and hotel properties; and multifamily and commercial development projects, including ground leases and sale-leaseback transactions.
I also serve as outside general counsel for many of my clients. I work with clients to develop strategies for corporate growth, portfolio development and on ways to maximize their returns and minimize their risks. This attention to my clients involves teaming with NP colleagues from all of our offices and practices.
We are seeing continued dynamism in the cross-border transactional area. U.S. assets are very attractive to foreign buyers and we will continue to see these buyers aggressively seeking out opportunities.
