What do you focus on?

My practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses from a diverse range of industries in civil litigation matters. I help clients with contractual disputes, product liability actions, professional malpractice actions and other business-related litigation.

I have represented individuals and businesses in appeals at the Supreme Court of the State of New York Appellate Division. I am versed in the practice rules of the Appellate Division, pursuing and defending appeals and various appellate-level motion practices.

I also serve clients in litigation-focused environmental matters. I handle research and strategy in the defense of property damage claims in the context of environmental remediation as well as research and evaluation of available defenses against CERCLA claims.

Finally, I am a member of the firm’s Antitrust, Regulatory and Unfair Trade Practices team where I have assisted in the review and identification of documents necessary for Hart-Scott-Rodino pre-merger filings.

What do you see on the horizon?

In business litigation, the people involved are an important, and often underappreciated, factor in bringing any given matter to a successful resolution. As both state and federal courts continue to be challenged for resources and litigation costs continue to rise, I see a need for lawyers and clients alike to work together to identify opportunities for effective and efficient alternatives for resolving disputes. Under such circumstances, understanding and navigating various personalities on both sides of a business dispute—regardless of its nature—is a skill of continuing importance that clients can rely on me to provide.
