My practice focuses on representing employers in employment disputes in state and federal court ranging from single plaintiff litigation to class and collective actions.
Much of my experience has involved wage and hour class actions, as well as a variety of other types of employment-related class actions and litigation brought under state and federal law, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the False Claims Act, and discrimination and data privacy laws. My experience in representing parties on both sides of employment lawsuits provides me with a unique perspective to effectively represent clients.
I am closely monitoring the introduction and potential enactment of biometric privacy laws in New York, as well as other states. With the use of sophisticated timekeeping systems that collect employee biometric information becoming increasingly prevalent among employers, compliance with any newly enacted state privacy laws is critical for employers to avoid class liability.
