Michael L. Webb is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Real Estate group. He practices in all areas of real estate, handling a broad array of commercial transactions including acquisitions and dispositions, complex financings, mezzanine financing and leasing.
I represent clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. I work with landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers of commercial, retail and industrial properties around the country and investors and stakeholders in both simple and complex property transactions. I also represent banks, lenders and corporate borrowers in financings and commercial transactions that use real estate as collateral.
My practice covers all stages of purchase and sale transactions from planning and drafting documents, through negotiations and closing. I represent clients such as startup entities, major developers and hospitals by counseling them on purchase and sale agreements, facilitating the closing and post-closing processes, and performing title review, due diligence and other site acquisition services.
I see many opportunities being presented to real estate developers, investors and landlords by the continued expansion of the multifamily sector in under-occupied neighborhoods that formerly served as centers for commercial and industrial business activities as apartment demand continues to grow. There is a growing trend toward the transformation of barren neighborhoods located within close proximity to urban city centers where new housing projects are driving the development of necessary retail, dining and office spaces to create urban cores.
