Alycia A. Ziarno

In memoriam

Nixon Peabody has lost a dear colleague and friend, Alycia Ziarno. Not only was she gracious, but she was a warrior, both in terms of fighting cancer and in how she advocated for and served her clients. Alycia was also an outspoken advocate for early breast cancer detection and screenings.

Alycia began her legal career about 25 years ago with what was then Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle. She was a law clerk to federal judges in Rochester and Honolulu, and then returned to NP.

In her practice, Alycia represented clients in white collar criminal and antitrust matters in all phases of civil and criminal litigation, including internal and government investigations and trials involving the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Throughout her time at NP, she was a great advocate, and dedicated to her clients and colleagues through thick and thin. And she did it all with good humor, and as a friend and mentor. People loved to work with her. We will miss having Alycia as part of our NP family.
