New York. M&A Advisor and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) New York named the majority recapitalization of North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA)’s affiliated practice management company—NAPA Management Services Corporation (NMSC)—as the Healthcare and Life Sciences Deal of the Year. The transaction was also named the overall winner of the Middle Market Deal of the Year award. The inaugural awards recognize outstanding achievements in the M&A industry in the New York region.

As part of the transaction, NAPA, the largest single specialty anesthesia company in the United States, and Moelis Capital Partners completed the recapitalization of NMSC. The transaction brings new growth capacity to NMSC and will enhance the organization’s ability to pursue opportunities and maintain its leadership position in the expanding anesthesia management market.

Nixon Peabody LLP served as legal counsel to NAPA and NMSC in the matter. The team was led by partners Michael Taubin, Lori Green, and Jim Bourdeau and associates Michael Schnipper and Jeremy Wolk. The team was assisted by partners Martha Anderson, Christian Hancey, and Eric Paley and associates Stacy Lawkowski and Carly Eisenberg.
