Nixon Peabody Advises Eastman Kodak in Winning Deal of the Year

New York, NY. ACG® New York, the premier association in New York for middle-market dealmaking professionals, and The M&A Advisor recognized the divestiture by Eastman Kodak Company of its Eastman Gelatine subsidiary to Rousselot, a division of VION Food Group, with two awards at its second annual awards ceremony recognizing outstanding achievements in the mergers & acquisitions industry in the New York region.

A team of Nixon Peabody LLP attorneys represented Kodak in the deal, which was recognized as “Middle-Market Deal of the Year” for transactions between $5 and $25 million and as “Cross-Border Deal of the Year” for transactions between $5 and $50 million. The Nixon Peabody team was led by partners Roger Byrd and Jeff LaBarge.

An independent body of experts representing a cross-section of the middle-market industry judged the finalists’ deals, dealmakers, and firms, and selections were made from among 220 finalists.
