My focus

I counsel both domestic and international employers on how to comply with the numerous federal, state, and local employment laws  in the United States, including how to approach hiring, incentive compensation, performance management, internal investigations, restrictive covenants, wage and hour issues, workplace policies, terminations, reductions in force, and allegations of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. While I firmly believe in the benefits of early dispute resolution, I also defend employers as needed in state and federal courts and at agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

I have nearly ten years of experience working for international tech companies based in California, with previous executive roles in legal, compliance, and HR. This experience allows me to better understand the challenges that my clients face every day and to give more practical legal advice. I most recently served as Chief Legal Officer and Chief People Officer for a logistics startup based in Los Angeles, California, with 800 corporate, field, and warehouse employees across the U.S. While I have particular experience working in the gaming, e-commerce, data, and logistics industries, I have advised clients of all sizes, types, and stages during my career.
