My focus

I represent a wide variety of clients in patent infringement and invalidity disputes before U.S. district courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Patent Office. This includes challenging and defending patents in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Leveraging my background in engineering, I advise clients within numerous high-tech industries including electronics, computing, software, wireless networking and telecommunications, semiconductors, image sensing, manufacturing processes, electromechanical systems, and related technology spaces.

My industry experience provides valuable practical knowledge and insight that I am able to strategically leverage in complex IP matters.

Over the last six years, I have been involved in multiple jury trials in the Eastern District of Texas. If a case in any jurisdiction needs to be tried, I have the experience to successfully resolve the dispute.

Looking ahead

I see an increased use of data science and analytics in the law firm decision making process. Other industries have leveraged data to great effect for quite some time now. I believe firms will expand their use of data to help market their practices and target and land new clients. Clients already use analytics to identify which firms to retain. It’s a natural evolution for firms to do the same with clients.
