Lauren Maynard is a litigator and a member of Nixon Peabody’s Government Investigations and White Collar Defense practice group. She represents corporations and individuals in government investigations, regulatory inquiries, and complex civil and criminal litigation.
I assist companies and individuals with government investigations, criminal defense, and complex commercial disputes.
I represent and advise clients in the life sciences industry and healthcare providers with respect to the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Consumer Protection Act, and Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. I have been involved in assisting these clients with responding to inquiries and investigations by the DOJ and state Attorneys General Offices, as well as in civil litigation.
My practice also includes representing companies and individuals in the telecommunications and financial industries with respect to regulatory compliance. I advise clients in matters involving the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering laws, TCPA, and other regulatory frameworks, and have experience representing clients before the SEC, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, DOJ, and state Attorneys General Offices.
I also represent clients in commercial litigation matters ranging from contract disputes to civil RICO.
The federal government continues to prioritize white collar fraud. Companies should ensure that they have strong compliance programs in place, and should be prepared to react to investigations from both state and federal governments.
