Cheryl Valcourt has been a finance paralegal for more than 20 years and a member of Nixon Peabody’s Banking & Finance and Public Finance practice groups since 2007. She assists attorney’s in the Public Finance practice group when they serve as bond counsel, trustee’s counsel and credit facility counsel and assists the Corporate Trust practice group attorneys in their areas of practice.
I work closely with attorneys when assisting with and attending bond closings. I am responsible for preparing signature documents and various post-closing matters including making appropriate filings with the IRS and organizing and preparing closing transcripts.
I assist the attorneys in drafting and filing UCC financing statements and reviewing searches to ensure security interest perfection. I manage data sites that house documents and information relating to both litigation cases and finance transactions.
