Caitlin Duncan is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s M&A and Corporate Transactions group. Her practice spans a broad range of corporate matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and commercial transactions.
I counsel public and private companies on a variety of corporate and business law matters, including in connection with M&A transactions and associated corporate governance issues. I assist companies of all sizes in the filing of SEC disclosures as well as providing due diligence and early risk detection in M&A transactions.
My goal is to bring a practical business approach to my counseling. Knowing the law is no longer enough to facilitate the best deals for our clients. As lawyers, we must be familiar with the intricacies of the industry and the business in order to add the most value. As legal counsel we must identify and understand all risks facing our clients and in order to truly achieve that objective we must understand the business.
As technology advances and makes automation easier, we must strive to better serve our clients and bring value to transactions that can only be achieved through experience.
