Pierce is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Securities, M&A and Corporate Transactions group, where he works with clients on a broad range of matters including mergers and acquisitions, international commercial transactions and federal securities law matters.

What do you focus on?

Federal Securities Laws

I represent public and private clients regarding federal securities laws and stock exchange rules relating to corporate governance and disclosure.

Corporate Transactions

I assist public and private clients with various mergers and acquisitions, performing due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents and facilitating closing and post-closing mechanics.

International Commercial Transactions

I draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including international franchise and development agreements, license agreements and purchase and sale agreements.

Antitrust

I help clients with a variety of antitrust matters, including mergers and acquisitions, federal and state government investigations, and antitrust compliance counseling.

What do you see on the horizon?

The continued growth of emerging markets, particularly in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, has created an ever-evolving legal landscape. I currently assist companies in a variety of industries efficiently navigate these issues as they seek to expand internationally.
