Danny Kim

Danny Kim is an experienced municipal bond lawyer with a professional accounting background who focuses his practice primarily on public finance, assisting government agencies in financing capital projects.

What do you focus on?

Clients work with me because I can assist with all facets of municipal finance. I serve as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and underwriter’s counsel on transactions involving enterprise revenue bonds, Mello-Roos and assessment district bonds, lease revenue bonds and certificates of participation and tax allocation bonds. I also have significant experience in the financing of prisons managed by private operators.

My experience as a security and exchange attorney in New York coupled with my background as a certified public accountant uniquely affect how I represent my clients.

What do you see on the horizon?

I see changes in regulatory aspects—there will be greater scrutiny of the market by the IRS and the Securities and Exchange Commission. There won’t be any slowdown, so clients will have to be more conscious of the ever-changing landscape.
