Vivian Sandoval focuses her practice on intellectual property, including patent counseling, patent prosecution, and litigation.
My practice is focused on acquiring, protecting, and defending clients’ intellectual property rights across a variety of technologies. I utilize my experience as a product development engineer at Illinois Tool Works, where I focused on developing mechanical systems for data acquisition in the testing of new products and the general design and manufacturability of new devices. I also utilize my experience conducting freedom to operate analyses with startups in the biomedical and mechanical device space to strategically acquire patents.
Leveraging my background and prior work experience, I am able to assist domestic and international companies, as well as clients ranging from individuals to large entities on intellectual property counseling, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. I represent and advise clients on the prosecution and enforcement of their patents and intellectual property in various areas of biomedical, mechanical, electrical, and software-related technologies and industries.
As technology evolves, I anticipate domestic and international laws needing to adapt. I believe clients, especially those in the global market, will place more emphasis on creative strategies to protect their innovations.
