Effective as of October 19, 2020, USCIS has increased Premium Processing fees. Any cases postmarked on or after October 19 must use the new fee schedule. Premium processing for H-2B and R-1 visa petitions has increased from $1,440 to $1,500. Premium processing for other eligible case types, including H-1Bs, has increased from $1,400 to $2,500.
This new fee schedule is a result of Continuing Appropriations Act, 2021 and Other Extensions Act, Pub. L. No. 116-159, which was signed into law on October 1. In addition to the new fee schedule, the Act also calls for USCIS to implement Premium Processing for other case types not currently eligible such as: Form I-539, Form I-765, and additional types of Form I-140 petitions. The fee schedule and implementation timeline for premium processing of these additional case types has not yet been released by USCIS.
