Taub Bradley

Bradley M. Taub

Bradley provides diverse IP protection to large companies and startups by strategically building comprehensive global IP portfolios to monetize and protect products and methods using utility patents, design patents, trademarks, and copyrights. He also helps his clients with litigation financing, patent litigation, licensing, IP incentive programs, and general counseling on IP matters.

What do you focus on?

My practice focuses on helping clients create monetizable IP using customized patent mining workshops that convene diverse, talented groups to expand conversations and increase innovation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, my colleagues and I innovated new ways of doing business and led the charge to bring the patent mining workshops virtually.

Patent Prosecution

My patent prosecution practice involves building and expanding global patent portfolios. I implement patent mining workshops across the globe to help clients generate new IP for monetization purposes. I manage a large team of diverse Nixon Peabody lawyers, and I leverage a global network of foreign associates that provides clients with a seamless and efficient global IP prosecution experience. My practice covers a wide variety of technologies, including medical devices, systems for aiding sleep disordered breathing, healthcare management systems, photo management systems, software, fintech, gemstones, smart electronics, railway systems, wearable technology, beverage systems, dental systems, energy generation and storage systems, toys, and business methods, among others.

Litigation

My litigation experience includes winning a high-stakes patent arbitration; drafting complaints, motions, and supporting memoranda in Illinois state and federal courts; conducting discovery in Illinois state and federal cases; and successfully arguing an opposition to a motion to dismiss in Illinois state court. I have been instrumental in achieving beneficial settlements for several clients.

What do you see on the horizon?

I believe more companies will start to ask their lawyers to partner with litigation funding firms to monetize their IP.
