Originally recorded September 18, 2019.
Nixon Peabody’s Higher Education team presents an informative series of webinars discussing hot topics, trends, and issues disrupting higher education in 2019. Campus closures, NCAA enforcement, clinical research and trials, technology transfer, Title IX, and internal investigations are a few of the topics we will cover.
Many colleges and universities sponsor group health plans for their employees, operate student health clinics and counseling programs, and may also perform services for HIPAA “covered entities” involving the use of protected health information, making them a HIPAA “business associate.” This webinar recording addresses the potential implications of HIPAA on employer-sponsored health plans, and student health clinics and counseling programs, as well as the obligations of a HIPAA business associate.
