Introduction
Katherine McQuillen is a member of the Government Investigations & White Collar Defense practice group, where she represents entities and individuals in investigations and enforcement actions.
My focus
My practice focuses on a variety of matters, including government enforcement and complex litigation matters. I represent clients in high-profile, high-stakes government investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice. I also represent businesses in a variety of industries with tariff and other customs compliance issues and individuals and corporations in immigration matters. My experience includes drafting motions and appellate briefs, second chairing depositions, preparing key documents for government investigations, and simplifying difficult tariff provisions to easy-to-understand language.
Before joining NP, I was a litigation associate at a NYC-based litigation firm and a judicial extern to Virginia Court of Appeals Chief Judge Marla Decker. Prior to law school, I was a paralegal at DOJ in the Fraud Section.
Looking ahead
I’m tracking evolving government enforcement policies and investigations into publicly traded and privately held companies to assess regulatory risks and prepare for an increase in white collar investigations. I’m also following the continual changes within the U.S. immigration, customs, and tariff systems and how they will affect individuals and companies as they conduct business across borders.
