    /My focus

I focus on affordable housing transactions involving the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) on a wide range of regulatory and transactional matters. I also focus on affordable housing transactions utilizing low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC’s), historic tax credits, property exemptions, conventional loans, and private activity bonds. My experience includes drafting and filing business and organizational documents, drafting, reviewing and negotiating development-related contracts and loan agreements, and performing due diligence on affordable housing deals to close transactions. I also assist developers and public housing authorities with complex solutions for multifamily project development; coordinate with investors, lendors, and their counsel and other third-party due diligence providers; and draft all types of transactional documents.

    /Looking ahead

With the increasing demand for affordable housing across the country, government programs at each of the federal, state, and local level contributing to the financing of affordable housing in combination with the availability of the low-income housing tax credit will continue to have a positive impact in creating a more robust affordable housing supply.
