    /My focus

    Multifamily Housing

I assist owners and developers with the acquisition, disposition, and financing of multifamily properties, including developments financed with low-income housing tax credits and historic tax credits. I recently helped a client acquire and finance a 346-unit affordable housing development in Springfield, Massachusetts. I work on many refinancings of affordable housing projects, in particular, those funded through the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) 223(f) program. Additionally, in the multifamily sector, I handle both the acquisition of general partner interests in affordable housing projects as well as the disposition of limited partner interests in affordable housing projects, including negotiating purchase and sale agreements for such acquisitions and dispositions.

    General Real Estate

I work with clients on various other general real estate matters, including purchase and sale agreements and real estate joint ventures.

    /Looking ahead

The passage of the Affordable Homes Act in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts signifies a commitment to the production and preservation of affordable housing in the Commonwealth. The bill provides numerous funding opportunities to affordable housing initiatives and establishes comprehensive policies. I look forward to working with developers on new affordable housing projects to take advantage of the funding and support provided by the Commonwealth.
