    Introduction

    /My focus

My practice concentrates in the areas of commercial and business litigation. Specifically, my practice focuses on helping clients with complex commercial, business, land use, and real estate litigation. I also work with healthcare companies and individual practitioners responding to state and federal investigations involving civil, criminal, and regulatory matters. I have extensive experience successfully litigating matters in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts state and federal courts on behalf of my clients. I leverage this experience when acting as outside general counsel to small businesses and start-ups, helping to identify, assess, and mitigate risk in order to avoid litigation.

    /Looking ahead

During the pandemic, individuals have left their traditional careers and started their own companies in record numbers. These new ventures come with hidden risks and difficulties that many start-ups do not foresee and can create unintended legal issues that distract from their core focus of growing their business.
