    EEOC ADA Q&A for employers’ COVID-19 inquiries

    The EEOC has released guidance, "What You Should Know About the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act, and COVID-19" for employers seeking to implement screening procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at their workplaces. Although this is a fluid situation and guidance is likely to change, this helpful Q&A format provides answers regarding many common inquiries, including whether employers can take employee temperatures, require fitness-for-duty certifications for workers returning from COVID-19 related absences, or screen for COVID-19 during the hiring process. We encourage employers to consult this guidance and to reach out to us with any additional questions or concerns.
