/My focus

I oversee the Cooperatives and Condominiums contracts and closings department, where we represent developers and sponsors on a wide range of for-sale housing. With more than two decades of experience handling contracts, closings, and complex negotiations for some of New York’s most prolific developers and sponsors, I oversee the preparation and negotiation of purchase contracts and unit closings. I work closely with attorneys, lenders, real estate brokers, title companies, and an array of other real estate professionals.

/Representative experience

• Represented various developers and sponsors in the negotiation and sale of some of the most high-end projects in New York City history
• Negotiated thousands of contract riders for various cooperative and condominium sales on behalf of sponsors
• Negotiated complex custom work riders for a wide range of cooperative and condominium sales, including the sale of a $232-million-dollar condominium in New York City
• Represented various developers in the five boroughs on low-income condominiums in planned unit developments, coordinating all aspects of various government secured and unsecured subsidies for downpayment assistance

/Looking ahead

Nixon Peabody’s Cooperatives and Condominiums Team is handling a high volume of new projects including luxury commercial to residential conversions, middle-market rental to condominium conversions, and an array of affordable housing cooperatives. I am excited to bring my decades of experience to such a dynamic practice, and I look forward to being a part of increasing the homeownership rate in New York—something that is welcome news for both the city and the state alike.
