Introduction
Rylie Bretz focuses her practice on various real estate transactions, primarily leveraging tax credits to finance housing and community development projects nationwide.
My focus
I focus my practice on real estate transactions involving federal and state Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs), tax-exempt bonds, and public and private financing. I represent equity investors and syndicators in connection with these transactions, and I work with clients on drafting partnership agreements and ancillary transaction documents, identifying legal and tax risks, reviewing project financing and due diligence, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure deals run smoothly and efficiently.
Looking ahead
Despite recent legislative and policy shifts, LIHTCs have proven to be a resilient cornerstone of the affordable housing market. I am eager to continue working with our clients to use LIHTCs as a vital tool to meet the growing demand for affordable housing.
