Introduction
Josh Fritsch's practice focuses on a broad range of residential and commercial real estate-related transactions in which he represents lenders, borrowers, commercial real estate developers, and various bank and non-bank financial institutions.
My focus
My practice focuses on all types of commercial and residential real estate matters. I have significant experience in representing financial institutions, private equity, insurance company, and developer clients in connection with financings, acquisitions, and dispositions of a broad range of mortgage assets (including residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, bridge loans, manufactured housing, single family rental, and eHELOCs) and real estate properties. I also have experience with affordable housing developments that include tax-exempt bonds, low-income housing tax credits, and other federal and state government subsidies. In addition, I have represented sponsors and underwriters in numerous issuances related to real estate assets. In my previous career as a litigator, I represented clients in a variety of highly complex litigations, bankruptcy proceedings, and various types of regulatory matters.
Looking ahead
In light of the generally tight housing inventory and limited financing options for potential homeowners, I expect investor interest in the single family rental market not only to continue to grow but also to drift into the smaller unit, multi-family space as governments face increasing pressure to encourage development in this asset class.
