Introduction
Justin Gross is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Corporate practice group and part of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation team. He counsels public and private companies on matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation.
My focus
I advise single-employer and multi-employer defined benefit, defined contribution, health, and welfare plans, guiding plan sponsors and fiduciaries through tax qualification requirements and evolving IRS and Department of Labor regulations. I also review and negotiate complex service-provider contracts relating to plan administration, provider networks, and the investment of plan assets.
Before entering private practice, I spent over a decade at the Office of the Legislative Counsel of the US House of Representatives, where I served as the principal legislative drafter on a nonpartisan basis for all matters relating to ERISA, COBRA coverage, labor and employment law, and related areas of tax law.
Looking ahead
As the legislative and regulatory landscape and nature of the workforce continue to evolve, Nixon Peabody is committed to providing the practiced expertise needed to help employers competitively navigate this new environment.
