Mary Ho is a consultant at Nixon Peabody CWL in Hong Kong and specializes in work relating to the media and entertainment industry to addition to general commercial work. Her clients include film production companies, investors and distributors, directors, script writers, digital music platforms, music recording companies, artists and artist managements companies and television companies. Mary is also currently the honorary legal advisor of the Asia Film Awards and the Hong Kong Youth Ballet.
I started my practice on the entertainment industry almost 23 years ago. At present, I focus my practice more on the film, music and TV industry.

The media and entertainment business, especially the film industry in PRC, is expanding at a tremendous speed and scale. Foreign companies are looking for opportunities to cooperate with PRC companies, while PRC companies are looking for acquisitions in foreign companies. The synergy is exploding, and I believe this represents more opportunities for lawyers specialized in this area.
