Lynda Jewett is a trademark paralegal in the Intellectual Property group.
I focus on managing all aspects of trademark prosecution and maintenance, both U.S. and foreign, including clearance searches, recordation of assignments, maintenance of files and preparation of and filing applications. I prepare new trademark applications and other trademark prosecution documents for filing at appropriate trademark offices, including gathering all necessary information from clients regarding same and monitoring and maintaining applications through issuance. Furthermore, I communicate with attorneys, clients and foreign agents regarding preparing and processing all paperwork necessary during pendency of trademark applications, including formalizing original documents. Moreover, I prepare reports for clients regarding pending trademark applications and registered trademarks, oversee accuracy and necessary follow-up on daily docket entries and maintain portfolios with supervising attorneys. I review incoming transfer cases for accuracy, prepare necessary power of attorney documents and draft responses to office actions for attorney review.
I have been following the trends in blockchain technologies. Today the biggest growth in trademark filings is in the field of cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
