Introduction
Isaac Markow represents nonprofit and for-profit developers in all aspects of multifamily affordable housing and real estate transactions.
My focus
In my practice I have partnered with outside counsel to finance the construction, rehabilitation, and acquisition of products with HUD-insured loans. I also have experience advising HUD’s multifamily and public housing program offices on issues related to lease addenda, Declarations of Trust, Project Based Rental Assistance Section 8 contracts, and the Moving to Work program. I have done extensive work evaluating closing documents for Rental Assistance Demonstration transactions and transactions with HUD-insured financing to ensure they complied with HUD’s standards, including title policies and surveys.
Looking ahead
Despite HUD’s ongoing transformation, its programs, especially HUD-insured loans and the Rental Assistance Demonstration program, will remain key drivers of housing production and preservation.
