Senior Director of Portfolio Strategy
Matthew Martino serves as the Senior Director of Portfolio Strategy in Nixon Peabody’s Wealth Management group and Nixon Peabody Trust Company. His primary responsibilities include managing multi-asset class portfolios for complex and high net worth clients, contributing to development of the trust company’s overall portfolio strategy, asset allocation tactical shifts, and security analysis/selection. Matthew has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years working with both institutional and private clients.
As our investment process is designed to meet the individual goals and objectives of every client and family group, my focus, along with our private client trustees and tax specialists, continues to center around the development of fully integrated, tax-efficient, personalized wealth management solutions that are focused on our clients’ ever-evolving needs and constraints.
At the end of the day, the solutions we offer to clients are only as good as the inputs. Therefore, from my perspective as an analyst and portfolio manager, a very significant portion of my time is devoted to analyzing, monitoring, and, most importantly, truly understanding every investment recommendation that we put forth and the role that we expect those securities to play in assisting clients in meeting their objectives.
Given our team approach to client relationship management combined with access to in-house, multi-discipline talent, we have been able to help offer our clients, who are both domestic and international, legal, investment, and tax advice as to how to most effectively manage their assets not only for their present situation but those of future generations as well.
I continue to see technology as an enabler of the perpetual growth of smaller, specialty-focused wealth management groups away from the larger, traditional brokerage houses as clients seek more hands-on and accessible partners.
