/My focus

My experience in patent prosecution includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the chemical, biochemical, mechanical, and environmental areas, including chemical products and processes, medical devices, compositions, and health-related apparatus and instruments.

My trademark practice focuses on trademark counseling, clearance, prosecution, and enforcement for domestic and international trademarks. My goal is to help businesses and individuals build and protect their valuable trademark portfolios. My experience also includes conducting due diligence reviews relating to acquisition of IP assets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Whether working with new companies or established businesses, I work to develop practical, business-focused strategies for domestic and international IP protection.

Before practicing law, I was employed as an environmental chemist/ engineer at a specialty chemical company and a government research lab, Argonne National Laboratory.

I continually strive to anticipate clients’ needs and offer effective strategies in clearance, prosecution, and enforcement activities while keeping in mind cost efficiencies wherever possible.
