Michael Stoianoff is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Complex Disputes practice group. He represents a diverse set of clients in a variety of commercial disputes and litigation in federal and state court.
I represent clients across various industries in connection with a range of commercial matters. I am experienced in substantive legal research and analysis, dispositive motion practice, case management, and coordinating pretrial and trial proceedings. My wide-ranging practice allows me to manage numerous types of disputes, develop creative strategies for resolution, and ensure that cases run smoothly and efficiently to maximize value for clients.
Before joining Nixon Peabody, I was a law clerk to the Honorable Frank P. Geraci, Jr. of the US District Court for the Western District of New York. Prior to my clerkship, I worked as a corporate attorney at another law firm. During law school, I served as lead articles editor of the Syracuse Law Review and interned for the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York and the Honorable Glenn T. Suddaby of the US District Court for the Northern District of New York.
With the rising costs of litigation, it is increasingly important to focus on the heart of an issue and resolve cases outside of the courtroom, enabling clients to achieve cost-effective dispute resolutions.
