Introduction
Mike is a litigator in Nixon Peabody’s Complex Disputes practice group. He represents companies and individuals in a variety of high-stakes litigation matters, including domestic and international arbitrations.
My focus
My practice encompasses all aspects of complex commercial litigation and government investigations in state and federal courts. I have experience assisting clients at all stages of litigation, from assessing initial claims through discovery and trial. My practice focuses on assisting clients involved in complex commercial disputes, including actions arising from mergers and acquisitions, breach-of-contract claims, and corporate governance disputes. In addition, I represent clients involved in government investigations and civil forfeiture actions. I am experienced in dispositive motion practice and coordinating trial proceedings in federal court.
Before joining Nixon Peabody, I served as a judicial law clerk to U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. I began my legal career as an associate at another law firm. During law school, I served as lead articles editor of the Syracuse Law Review and as a legal intern for U.S. District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York.
I also maintain an active pro bono practice, focusing on criminal justice, civil rights, and veterans’ issues.
Looking ahead
Litigators should be focused on ethical, cost-effective use of artificial intelligence tools and consider how those tools can best serve clients.
