Introduction
My focus
My work includes zoning, land use, and permitting; joint ventures and partnerships; acquisitions, sales, and exchanges; ground leases; construction, permanent and mezzanine financing; entity structuring and formation transactions; private equity fund formation and transactions; REITs; property management, development management, and asset management agreements; development agreements; REAs and other easements and covenants; and residential and commercial condominiums.
Looking ahead
Working through the bruises of high interest rates and pandemic-induced damage to the office sector will require steady and creative legal guidance as clients seek solutions and opportunities. In the real estate development space, high costs of construction, affordable housing and other exactions, and of course higher interest rates have increased the need for tax deals and other subsidies; governments have started to respond but more will be needed.
