My focus
COMPLEX COMMERCIAL LITIGATION
I represent clients in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels in matters involving breach of contract, false advertising class actions, privacy, trade secrets, product liability, shareholder disputes, intellectual property, and toxic tort defense. I have first-chair experience in arguing dispositive and evidentiary motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and motions in limine. I also conduct and defend depositions of key fact witnesses, experts, and opposing parties, and have managed large-scale discovery in multi-district litigation (MDL) and consolidated state proceedings.
JUDICIAL CLERKSHIPS
Before entering practice, I served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Colleen R. Lawless of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois and Judge Clare J. Quish of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division.
Looking ahead
Companies in the manufacturing and consumer products sectors should be preparing for increased class action exposure in data privacy and product liability. Early investment in litigation readiness is the best defense against escalating regulatory and compliance risk.
