Stacy Boven is a commercial litigation associate at Nixon Peabody. Stacy practices both general and complex commercial litigation and her experience spans the areas of construction, contract, and insurance litigation.
I focus on maximizing value for my clients. By developing a deep understanding of my client’s industry and individual interests, I am able to work with clients to avoid legal disputes and swiftly solve those disputes that remain unavoidable. From the initial pleadings, through discovery and resolution, I am continuously looking for comprehensive solutions that will reduce costs and better protect my clients in the future. With extensive experience in litigating complex commercial matters, I have built a practice on managing arduous multiparty disputes and streamlining both the litigation and settlement processes.
I frequently represent private owners, public entities and contractors in disputes involving breach of contract, product defect, personal injury/workplace safety, governmental immunity, comparative fault and negligence. I also have significant experience in insurance and appellate litigation, as well as FOIA and public records act matters.
While the construction industry continues to expand, the need to keep costs down and resolve disputes efficiently remains a priority. As a result, I expect that owners and contractors will utilize alternative dispute resolution with greater frequency and a deeper degree of sophistication.
