Annie Zhang is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Corporate Practice Group. She represents public and private companies and not-for-profits on matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation.
I provide ongoing advice to clients on a broad range of compliance issues, including with respect to ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA for retirement and health and welfare plans. I also have experience with a variety of IRS, DOL, and PBGC filings and letter ruling requests, and successful resolution of plan errors under the IRS and DOL correction programs and governmental investigations and audits. Finally, I advise on the design and implementation of nonqualified and executive compensation arrangements.
As the COVID-19 pandemic reshapes the way we do business and workplaces leverage technology to operate beyond location-based limitations, employee benefit programs will have to evolve rapidly to meet the needs of both businesses and their employees.
