    Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody is proud to announce that nine attorneys have been elected into the firm’s partnership. This group of attorneys represents a wide range of practice areas, including Corporate Transactions and Mergers & Acquisitions, Government Investigations & White-collar Defense, Project Finance & Public Finance, Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation, Intellectual Property, Labor & Employment, and Trusts & Estates.

    The new partner promotions will take effect February 1, 2021. Nearly 60% of this year’s class are women and attorneys of color, aligning with Nixon Peabody’s deep commitment to moving the needle on diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

    Business & Finance Department

    Stephanie Bruno, Private Clients, Boston
    Stephanie counsels clients on sophisticated estate planning needs and tax planning techniques. She also has a growing fiduciary practice, serving as trustee for various clients. Stephanie has developed a niche focus in international estate planning, frequently lecturing and publishing on the topic. She is active in the estate planning community, serving as a member of the Boston Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Steering Committee.

    Samuel Kim, Corporate, Chicago
    Sam represents clients in corporate transactions across a broad range of industries, including in mergers and acquisitions and equity investments. He also serves as outside general counsel for a number of companies and represents motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors in transactional franchise matters. Outside the firm, Sam serves on the associate boards of technology incubator mHub and Lawrence Hall, a nonprofit that serves at-risk youth and their families in Chicago.

    Damian Myers, Corporate – Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation, Washington DC
    Damian represents public and private clients on a wide range of employee benefits–related compliance issues, including Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), tax, corporate, and securities laws and regulations. He has experience in the design and administration of health and welfare benefit plans and advising on compliance with various laws related to these plans, such as the Internal Revenue Code, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, COBRA and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. Damian was named to the District of Columbia Courts’ Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll in 2017 and received the Legal Aid Society’s 2016 Pro Bono Publico Award.

    Litigation Department

    Lauren Arnold, Intellectual Property, Washington DC
    Lauren represents clients across industries on matters involving intellectual property strategy, protection, and enforcement, focusing on trademarks and branding strategy. She counsels clients on a broad range of IP issues, providing knowledgeable guidance on strategic approaches to implementing, registering, maintaining, and protecting brands. Lauren brings a unique perspective on brand strategy and enforcement from her previous experience as in-house corporate and intellectual property counsel at an international casino gaming company.

    Rachel Conn, Labor & Employment, San Francisco
    Rachel works with clients across industries on labor and employment issues, focusing on providing sound, thoughtful legal advice on the Occupational Safety and Health Act. She represents clients in both federal and state court litigation and before administrative agencies, and Rachel also provides clients with labor and employment legal advice and training, with a particular emphasis on occupational safety and health compliance and litigation.

    Joshua Sharp, Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense, Boston
    Josh is a critical member of the Government Investigations & White-collar Defense team, representing corporations and individuals in complex civil and criminal litigation, internal and government investigations, and enforcement matters. Josh has extensive experience representing clients in matters related to the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback statute, the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other and federal and state laws. Over the past year, Josh’s work has also focused on COVID-19-related investigations.

    Bradley Taub, Intellectual Property, Chicago
    Brad provides multilayered intellectual property protection to large companies and startups by strategically building comprehensive global IP portfolios to monetize and protect products and methods using utility patents, design patents, and trademarks. His practice focuses on helping clients create IP that can be monetized using customized patent mining workshops to convene diverse, talented groups to increase innovation. Brad also handles patent litigation, licensing, and general counseling on IP matters.

    Project Finance, Infrastructure & Real Estate Department

    Adam Gordon, Project Finance & Public Finance, New York City
    Adam’s practice concentrates on infrastructure, economic development, and project finance. He routinely serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters’ counsel, and bank counsel on tax-exempt and taxable bond issuances. Adam has worked on a variety of transportation, water, nonprofit, real estate, and public-private partnership (P3) financings. Adam also serves as Nixon Peabody’s liaison to the Harlem Youth Court.

    Jade Turner-Bond, Project Finance & Public Finance, Los Angeles
    Jade is known throughout California as a result of her high-profile and high-impact work at Nixon Peabody and her prior role with the California State Treasurer’s Office. She represents diverse clients in the financing and refinancing of infrastructure and capital improvements projects for state and local municipal entities, as well as cultural institutions. Her experience includes serving as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and underwriter’s counsel on a broad spectrum of taxable and tax-exempt debt structures. Outside the firm, Jade serves as second vice chair to the National Association of Bond Lawyers and as a board member in charge of diversity and inclusion for the Los Angeles Chapter of Women in Public Finance.
