    Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody is proud to announce the appointment of Stacie Boeniger Collier as the firm’s Chief Talent Officer. In this newly created role, Stacie will focus on growing and enhancing the firm’s legal talent, and developing and cultivating its people and distinctive culture.

    Stacie embodies the firm’s commitments to its legal talent and its people. She joined Nixon Peabody more than 20 years ago as an associate and “grew up” within the firm, becoming partner and taking on executive leadership roles—such as co-chairing the firm’s Labor & Employment practice, serving as Nixon Peabody’s Professional Personnel Partner, and being involved in the firm’s steering committees—all the while raising her own family. As a result of her background and experience, Stacie understands the resources and mentoring that attorneys need to succeed at every state of their careers.

    “It’s an honor to take on this leadership role. As Chief Talent Officer, I want to make sure our people are engaged and enthusiastic about our firm and our culture, and that they have the resources to develop their career in the way that they want and need,” said Stacie.

    Stacie’s passion for mentoring is most evident in her role as chair of Nixon Peabody’s Professional Personnel Committee, which works closely with the firm’s associates and department attorneys in their professional development. The committee ensures that non-partner level attorneys across the firm are equipped with the resources they need to thrive within the firm’s entrepreneurial approach to business.

    “Attracting and retaining top talent remain core to our success, and Stacie is perfectly suited to take on this vital role,” said Stephen Zubiago, CEO and managing partner of Nixon Peabody. “For many years, Stacie has spearheaded initiatives for our talent and our people, such as our Mansfield rule and Move the Needle commitments. We would not be where we are today without Stacie’s contributions.”

    Attorney well-being—including mental health and problematic substance use support—will be a top focal point for Stacie as Chief Talent Officer. Nixon Peabody was one of the first law firms to sign onto the American Bar Association’s “Well-Being Pledge” in 2018. In the years since, Stacie led initiatives, resources, and programing to address and promote attorney well-being.

    “I want to cultivate an environment where our people know and feel their health and well-being are priorities,” Stacie said. “Being a lawyer and being healthy do not have to be mutually exclusive.”

    Stacie is a partner in Nixon Peabody’s Labor & Employment practice, focusing on representing management in the resolution of employment-related disputes before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Stacie is also an ardent advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and serves on the advisory board of Temple University Fox School of Business’ Center for Ethics, Diversity and Workplace Culture—an innovation hub for leaders in industry, government, and academia to foster workplace cultures that are more inclusive, health-minded, and free of discrimination and harassment. Outside of the office, Stacie enjoys going to the beach, traveling with her family, and reading.
