Michal is counsel in Nixon Peabody’s Healthcare practice, and also a member of the firm’s State Attorneys General team. She represents clients across a wide range of regulated industries, with a focus on healthcare providers. Michal assists her clients, including home healthcare agencies, physician practices, and hospital systems, with responding to government investigations, enforcement actions, and regulatory audits involving state and federal agencies.
Michal is based in the law firm’s Long Island office, and her practice includes advising clients on regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse matters, and risk mitigation strategies. Michal’s experience with internal and government investigations also includes complex sexual abuse investigations, and she has helped clients navigate victims’ compensation programs.
The “40 Under Forty” honorees have “a proven track record of career success, are actively engaged in mentoring and promoting their professions, and find time to give back to their communities,” according to the publication. The honorees were selected by a committee of previous recipients and the leadership team of Long Island Business News.
Michal and her fellow honorees will be recognized at an awards celebration on September 22, 2026, at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
