    Environmental Permitting & Compliance

We use our deep experience and integrated legal, scientific, and engineering knowledge across all environmental media to move our client’s objectives forward.

    Overview

Building and operating energy projects requires unavoidable regulatory interaction, permitting, and compliance.

With a constantly evolving environmental landscape, clients need knowledgeable counsel to guide them through today’s regulations and prepare for tomorrow’s challenges.

Our team of attorneys cost-effectively negotiates and successfully obtains permits to achieve compliance for air, water granting and quality, solid and hazardous waste disposal, recycling, composting, and more. We first determine the best possible outcome for our clients and work back from there, leveraging our relationships with regulatory agencies and key technical staff to achieve the optimal outcome. And, when necessary, we defend our energy clients in administrative and judicial enforcement actions brought by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), states, or citizens.
