What do you focus on?

I represent lenders, investors, and syndicators on tax credit financings, including those involving new markets tax credits and low-income housing tax credits. I also work on tax-exempt financings and other secured transactions with an emphasis on infrastructure and nonprofit lending.

In addition to my finance practice, I also work with clients on general real estate matters, including leasing, development, entitlements, and acquisitions.

What do you see on the horizon?

I expect to see an increase in tax credits used to finance health care projects, such as clinics in underserved areas of the country. On the real estate front, I think more cities will start relaxing zoning standards to allow for more affordable housing and to deal with empty retail/commercial space.
