Stephanie A. Bruno is a partner in the Private Clients Group. Stephanie counsels families and individuals from the US and abroad on their estate planning needs, developing both tax-efficient and practical wealth transfer strategies. Stephanie also represents fiduciaries regarding estate and trust administration matters, with a specific focus on issues relating to charitable trusts.
I help families develop sophisticated estate plans tailored to meet their specific planning goals. In doing so, I counsel clients on the various techniques used for shifting wealth to the next generation while minimizing transfer tax consequences. As part of this process, I work with clients to understand their personal and financial objectives and draft the necessary documents, such as wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts and gifting trusts, to address each family’s unique needs.
I also assist fiduciaries with estate and trust administration, including guiding clients through the probate process.
Revisions to the tax code can call established estate planning techniques into question. For that reason, I have my eye on proposed legislative changes that could significantly affect the estate, gift and generation-skipping tax exemptions, and, consequently, the wealth transfer strategies I recommend.
