Hon. James E. Vallee

James Vallee is a member of the Corporate, Public Finance and Government Relations groups. Jim works with large private and public sector clients providing strategic advice on regulatory, compliance and executive branch and legislative matters at both the federal and state levels.

What do you focus on?

I draw on my 20 years of experience as a corporate and finance lawyer, a Massachusetts legislator and leader, and my military experience to provide strategic counsel to large publically and privately held companies and trade associations on complex legal, regulatory and compliance matters that affect their industries and their companies. I help shape clients’ goals and agenda to ensure that they are well positioned under existing state and federal laws and regulations.

I leverage my years of experience in government to help my clients anticipate legislative and regulatory changes that may affect their industry and their companies’ goals in the future. I work with my clients to deepen their understanding of public policy to help them make good, strategic business decisions for their companies’ state, national and international operations. Recently, I successfully represented a Fortune 100 company in the health care industry to resolve a government investigations matter.

I work with private sector companies on corporate finance and strategic growth, representing them in transactional matters. I also counsel public authorities on debt financings for public infrastructure and capital projects. My experience in shaping infrastructure financing policy provides a unique insight into the mission and goals of funding public infrastructure.

What do you see on the horizon?

The growing intersection between the public and private sector provides both opportunities and challenges for companies in shaping their strategic growth goals.
