    Housing programs strong in President’s final budget

    The Obama Administration’s final budget request to Congress shows strong support for federal housing programs. There is a renewed focus on ending homelessness among families as well as full funding of project based Section 8 and Rural Housing Rental Assistance. The HOME program is generally stable. Of course, the CDBG program has not been restored from past years, and the veterans VASH voucher program was not continued.
