    /My focus

Developers, investors, and lenders turn to me for help with structuring, negotiating, and executing energy and other infrastructure financings. I have a wide variety of experience with domestic and international project finance transactions, including power plants, transmission lines, LNG (liquefied natural gas) facilities, and greenhouse gas emission reduction projects.

When conducting transaction diligence, I routinely uncover risks my clients had not recognized and subsequently act to mitigate. My perspective is informed by both my law firm experience and my time working at a private equity firm investing in projects and environmental assets (e.g., CERs and RECs).

    /Representative experience

    • Venture investment: Assisted fund making an equity investment in an early stage carbon capture and sequestration project
    • Tax equity financing: Represented a tax equity investor with respect to a variety of solar portfolios, including community solar gardens
    • Syndicated loan facility: Represented an investor in connection with a $100 million syndicated warehouse loan facility supporting multiple residential rooftop programs
    • Traditional project finance: Represented a developer in the debt financings (approximately $800 million total) of two gas-fired generating facilities, one in North Carolina and the other in Ohio

    /Looking ahead

Bolstered by the Inflation Reduction Act, the industry continues marching toward cleaner technologies that change how we generate, distribute, and store energy—even how we think about it. On the horizon: net negative emissions.

    /Admitted to practice

Dartmouth College, A.B., magna cum laude
