/My focus

My practice focuses on helping employers navigate the complex world of employment-based immigration, and ensuring those employers obtain the skilled workers their operations need, while also remaining in full compliance with their immigration-related obligations. I have acquired over 10 years of experience developing and implementing employment-based immigration compliance programs for numerous Fortune 100 companies, distinguished universities and businesses of all sizes. My publications in this field include “Immigration Employer Sanctions and Antidiscrimination Provisions,” published in the Arizona Employment Law Handbook, Vol. 2, 2nd Ed. (2007).

In addition to employers, my practice also focuses on individuals, including foreign national entrepreneurs and investors, individuals of extraordinary ability, and family-based immigration. Many of our nation’s top employers were founded by foreign nationals, and I have worked with such individuals to obtain the U.S. immigration status they need to make their U.S. operations a reality.

• Developed and managed P.E.R.M. Labor Certification compliance programs for multi-national corporations
• Featured speaker on a wide range of immigration topics, including “P.E.R.M. Labor Certification for Experts,” “Corporate Blanket L—Advanced Practice,” and employment verification procedures (Forms I-9 and E-Verify)
• Represented a diverse clientele, from large multi-national corporations to start-up enterprises, on the full range of immigration issues
• Represented clients throughout complex mergers and acquisitions, and ensured full immigration compliance for those clients as a successor-in-interest employer

/Looking ahead

Our nation’s immigration system has always been complex, and at times contentious, and will likely remain so in coming years. As employers continue to seek the skilled workers their operations need, our immigration system will continue to be a vehicle by which employers can hire top foreign talent. In addition, as companies continue to expand across international borders, the need to transfer key employees across those international boundaries will always be a key component of our immigration needs.
